Icebreaker: We sprung forward last night (daylight saving time)! What are you most looking forward to about Spring?

It seems like the average person knows they could never actually be like God. Why, then, do we all still constantly fall prey to this original temptation?

 

If you take a moment to honestly assess yourself, who do you want God to be? How does that impact your relationship with him?

 

We talked today about how surrendering to God is about focusing on what we gain over what we have to give up. What do you still have to gain in your life from surrendering to God? Try to list some real, tangible things with which you think God wants to bless you through surrender.

 

The same people who celebrated Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem called for him to be crucified days later. Have you ever experienced relationship like this? What can we learn and apply from how Jesus handled betrayal?
