Icebreaker: What would be your strategy if you found yourself stranded on a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean, all alone?
 
Questions to Discuss: 
 
Within Christianity, there’s a huge emphasis on love, even love for our enemies. How, then, is it appropriate for Paul to refer to other people, other Jews even, as “dogs?"
 
Paul said he counts all of his accomplishments as loss and garbage because of the worth of knowing Jesus. Why, then, did he continue to accomplish great things, even after finding Jesus?
 
If it’s always a “good deal" for us to give up everything and follow God, why is it still so hard to do, and so uncommon?
 
Greg shared the parable of the sower at the end of today’s message, and highlighted how Jesus explained that “desires for other things come in and choke the word." What qualifies as a “desire for other things?" What doesn’t?
